Look down as you walk around London and you will stumble across thousands of coal hole covers. These are set into the pavements and on door steps and provided access for coal
deliveries. Coal was tipped down into coal cellars and every house had one. There are hundreds of designs all made by foundries in the 19th century and I'm trudging the streets taking casts of the best ones which will then become Coal Hole Bowls. If you have a favourite let me know and I'll make you a bowl !
